Biography
Wesley River is a young actor whose first audition led to a recurring role as Tyler Jones on HBO's The Pitt. At five years old, he starred as Charlie in the feature film Foster opposite James Franco, carrying a rare emotionally demanding lead role for a performer his age.
Born on September 27, 2019, in Los Angeles, California, Wesley booked his first professional role at age four — a recurring part on HBO's medical drama The Pitt, created by John Wells and starring Noah Wyle. His character, Tyler Jones, appears across multiple episodes of the series.
At five, Wesley was cast as the lead in Foster, an action thriller set in the 1980s and directed by Emmy Award winner Timothy Woodward Jr. He plays Charlie, the abandoned young son whose arrival on Don Foster's (James Franco) doorstep pulls him deep into a violent underworld. The film also stars Ron Perlman, Natalie Burn, Dash Mihok, and James Frain, and was produced by Born to Burn Films.
Outside of acting, Wesley is a competitive jiu-jitsu athlete. He is a Jiu Jitsu World League Season Champion and competes in IBJJF tournaments throughout Southern California.
